Insurance and payment
You know the cost in writing before we start, and you pay for what was done at each visit.

Before we start
At your first examination we show you what we found and give you a written treatment plan, with the cost of each step. You take it home and decide in your own time. If something that was not in the plan turns out to be needed, we tell you, with its cost, before we do it.
Private insurance
We work with private health insurers. Before we start, we check with you what your policy covers and what you pay yourself. If your insurer pays you back later, we give you the receipt and anything else they ask for.
demo A real practice lists the insurers it has agreements with here. Smalto is fictional and has none.
EOPYY, the Greek national health fund
EOPYY has no agreements with private dentists, so treatment here is not covered by it. In the public system, dental care is given by the dental units of hospitals and health centres, where there are any.
Visiting from another EU country
The European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) does not cover a private dentist in Greece: you pay for the visit yourself. Keep the receipt and the medical note we give you, for your travel insurance, or for your health insurer at home, who can tell you whether you can claim the cost back.
Payment
Cash or card, at the end of each visit. You get a receipt for every payment.
